Taal Tivra is has same structure as Rupak with 7 beats presented in three division of 3, 2, and 2. However, this taal is derived from the barrel drum called Pkhawaj, hence the thythmic notes (bools) are derived from Pakhawaj. Tivra taal is played with Dhrupad style of vocal classical compositions.
