Chaartaal has same structure as Ektaal, the difference is that chartaal uses rhythmic notes from barrel drum Pkahvaj trdition. These rhythmic notes are open sounding and played with more emphasis. The chartaal is played with Dhruvpad and Dhamar trditions.
